Image Quality Standards Working Group (IQSWG)
CHARTER:
The Image Quality Standards Working Group (IQSWG) supports the NITFS Technical Board (NTB) and Motion Imagery Standards Board (MISB) under the Geospatial intelligence (GEOINT) Standards Working Group (GWG).
The IQSWG serves as the community forum responsible for providing governance and configuration management community expertise responsible for providing development and management for of all Image Quality standards and scales, and, where necessary, as the Standards Development Organization (SDO) for Image Quality standards. Image Quality standards provide the basis for ensuring the quality, integrity, and fidelity of film (“hard”) and digital (“soft”) image products for the Geospatial community. Image Quality standards provide the recommended standard attributes, parameters, and base measurements of workstation displays and graphics for U.S. recognized entities and subdivisions, in alignment with International Organization for Standardization (ISO)/TS 19264-1:2017.
MISSION:
The IQSWG shall function to maximize the quality, fidelity, and integrity of image products by continuously validating NSG IQ Standards.

The IQSWG meets monthly or as needed to conduct its meetings and business electronically via teleconferencing, email, and other forms of electronic exchange of information.

Participation in the IQSWG is open to all DoD/IC organizations, Federal and civil agencies, coalition partners, academic institutions, and commercial organizations that have an interest in image quality. Membership consists of voting members who are authorized representatives from the DoD, IC, and civil federal agencies; and general members who may participate in the development and advancement of image quality standards.
